What is Manual Cupping and How Does It Stretch Fascia?
You've probably seen the circular marks from traditional "static" cupping, but there's another effective technique called Manual Cupping.
Unlike static cupping where the cups are left in one place, manual cupping is a dynamic treatment. As you can see in the video, the practitioner glides the cup across the skin, typically over the back and shoulders.
The main purpose of this technique is to help stretch the fascia. Fascia is the web of connective tissue that surrounds all your muscles and organs. When it gets tight, it can restrict movement and cause pain. Manual cupping lifts and separates this tissue, helping to release tightness, improve mobility, and reduce discomfort.
It's an excellent therapy for releasing widespread tension and restoring proper movement.
